My 2 female dogs where spayed today and also tested positive for heartworms do i have to wait for them to heal before they will begin heartworm treatment? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | spayed | 4 years old | 38.8 lbs

Depending on their physical condition it may be advisable to wait until the spay incision is healed. However your vet, who knows your dogs, should discuss this with you.
