What to do about my dog's eye cut that's getting worse and scabby?

My dog has a cut around his eye, it kind of looks like another dog bit a little too hard on the side of his eye and sliced it open it's not big it's about a centimeter but around is getting really pink and kind of scabby looking but it keeps getting worse looking every week. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Male | 9 years and 3 months old | 70 lbs
