My dog has loose, mucousy poop but is still hyper. What's wrong?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Male | neutered | 1 year and 6 months old | 80 lbs

My dog has been fine and still is hyper but he just went to the poop and they were one was a large loose cow patty like poop with some muscus and the second smaller but almost full of Mucus. He has an appointment tomorrow 27th. I just want to know possibility’s and what I can use to disinfect my yard?

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Diarrhea can be observed with conditions such as colitis, gastroenteritis, dietary indiscretion, intestinal parasites, among many other possibilities. I recommend that you have Blue evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. They may choose to check for parasites and to start medications for diarrhea depending on the results. There should not be a need to disinfect the yard as long as you scoop out everything surrounding the feces when picked up. Good luck! Hoping for a speedy recovery!
