Can a cat get too stressed from treatment? Leevi is old and sick right now, and I have to forcefeed her. I'm scared the feeding might stress her to the point of a heart attack. I know that I must do it so she can recover her strenght, but at the same time I don't want to stress her too much.

Treatment and illness can cause a lot of stress in a pet, however if you feel Leevi is becoming too stressed out by her current treatment plan, it is best to talk with the vet that is treating her. They may be able to recommend additional medications or sedatives that may make her more comfortable as she recovers, or may be able to suggest alternative treatments that are less stressful to her. While it can be stressful in the short-term, if the treatment is working well to help get her on the road to recovery, then know she'll be feeling better (and less stressed) soon!
