My blind senior dog struggles to walk. When to put him to sleep?

Pet's info: Dog | Chinese Shar-Pei | Male | neutered | 11 years and 7 months old | 100 lbs

I Have a €12 Shar-Pei who is partially blind and having trouble walking and standing is it time to start considering putting him to sleep

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! What I usually tell my clients is that the time to consider humane euthanasia is when they stop being themselves. For example, when they stop doing 3 out of their 5 favorite things (eating, playing, or whatever these are), it is time to let them go without suffering. Of course this is if not considering treating the condition affecting them. There are always palliative pain control medications you could consider just from a palliative standpoint to try to make Boss feel better in the meantime. Sorry you are going through a rough time.
