Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua | Male | neutered | 7 years old

Dog ate cat food possibly with packaging.X-ray/blood test showed no anomalies. But he gets a hunched back like he’s in pain a few times a day.Appetite is still good, bowel movement is too.Hes on a raw diet(2years/never had issues)hes being treated for minor round worm&a cold but seems to be getting better.Vet says he doesn’t know what could be wrong.Hes been like this about a week. What should our next step be?Thank you in advance!

I am sorry to hear about Luigi. I would wonder if he has some gastric reflux or gastritis going on. I would definitely let your vet know about his behavior, even take a video of him when he is doing this so your vet can observe, and ask if they think a trial of an antacid type medication may be worthwhile.
