Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua | Female | spayed | 10 years and 7 months old | 12 lbs
My dog is a 10 year old and 11 pound chihuahua mix. She is overweight because of overfeeding from my parents. I recently am taking care of her and just started walking her 1.5-2 miles a day. How much should I feed my dog? I am currently using Natural Balance and mixing with for her food and feeding her twice a day. I'm afraid i'm overfeeding her or underfeeding. Should I stick to dry food or wet food or both? Is it healthier to cook her my own food instead?

Walking Berry daily is a good idea, and I would feed her according to the package instructions on her dog food. It will tell you the daily recommended amount, and divide it into two equal portions. You can feed her the dry food. I do not recommend a home diet, it's very hard to get the correct balance of nutrients needed to meet her daily requirements. I hope this helps!
