Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 10 lbs
My cat has always had mucus in her ears. She LOVES it when I stick my finger in her ear and move it around. When I bring my finger out there is always some mucus on the tip of it. She has always been this way. I don't believe she has an infection but am wondering if I am wrong. She doesn't scratch or rub her ears and they don't appear red or puffy. In addition she sneezes on occasion which might indicate allergies but I don't know. Any thoughts would be gravely appreciated. Thx

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! It can be normal for cats to have a small amount of ear wax/debris in their ears, depending on each individual animal. If she is not scratching/digging at her ears and they are not red, I would agree that an infection seems less likely. However, the concern is that excessive debris in the ears can lead to infection. I would contact your regular veterinarian to discuss whether regular ear cleanings may be beneficial for Patches. Good luck!
