Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Female | spayed | 2 years and 2 months old | 8 lbs
She has had scab like tags on her spin for a couple months. Now her little boy has also developed them. Fur seems to grow through them. When I’ve been able to pull them out it orange / pink like. Sticky. No blood, but obviously cause pain when touched. i have an appointment with a vet in a couple days, just looking for a direction to try and see what this might be before we go. Than k you!

Almost 100% of the time, scabs along the back of a cat is due to a flea hypersensitivity. I would say this is more likely if more than one cats is involved. Cats do not have to go outdoors to get fleas. So, if you don't have them on a good quality flea prevention then this is likely to be the cause. You don't always see fleas on them.
