My labrador has general drool and slobber but i he produces excessive clear but very clingy mucus which he is constantly battling with. Any suggestions to deal with this would be greatfully received

Unfortunately there is not much to be done. If this has gotten worse lately then I would check his mouth and teeth to make sure there is nothing painful in there that could cause this. Many large breed dogs, hounds in particular have excessive drooling as part of the breed. Our clients with drooly dogs always carry a cloth to wipe away the drool.
