My Cockapoo has seizures. Could vaccinations be the cause? What shots are vital?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Cockapoo | Male | neutered | 8 years and 6 months old | 18 lbs

My 8 yr. old Cockapoo 18 lbs. gets seizures about once a month. I believe it’s because of her 3 shots. Does she need to take all 3 shots or can she skip ones and does not always need them all? What’s the most important shot does she need yearly. Maybe that’s all she needs. Thank you.

I am not sure what shots you are talking about. If you mean vaccinations, then it is not likely that she is having seizures caused by vaccinations. Poodles as well as spaniels are more prone to epileptic seizures than other breeds. She may also have a brain condition causing the seizures. If the seizures increase in number Pebbles may need anti-seizure medication.
