That looks like it could be an infection or it could be from ringworm or allergies. This is something that should be checked out by a vet so it can be diagnosed and treated properly. Give your vet a call to make an appointment for your puppy. Best of luck.

Congrats on your new addition! The picture is a little blurry, but the area looks concerning. Did the breeder give any vaccinations? If so, she may have had a reaction to the vaccination if it was injected into the skin instead of under the skin. Another possibility would be that it is simply a skin reaction/infection from something else. I would recommend having your veterinarian examine the area to determine if it only involves the skin or if it involves any deeper tissue. They may need to take some samples to evaluate under the microscope to determine if the skin infection is bacterial, fungal or even parasitic (like mites). My dog is little over 6 months I noticed this on the top of his head and its getting bigger don't know what it is. I need help.
Hi. This looks like a hot spot, which is a skin infection. Usually associated with allergies. It needs an exam, antibiotics and a.clip and clean. Also possibly anti-inflammatory. Give your veterinarian a call

I still can't tell for sure, it may be ringworm, it may be a self inflicted wound from scratching and it could also be a bacterial infection. you should take him to your vet and get it checked if it doesn't resolve itself soon.

Hello how are you. I was wondering if you could tell me what this could be on my puppy.
It looks like your puppy may have a skin infection. You could bathe him with a dog shampoo, like Epi-Soothe or HyLyt and see if that helps. Otherwise, he should be examined by a vet for treatment. He may need an antibiotic to treat an infection. Your vet can also recommend the best flea/tick medication for him which should be used to prevent fleas and ticks.

This is suspicious of ringworm (a fungal infection of the skin). This could also be due to a yeast or bacteria infection. It's best to get it diagnosed by a veterinarian, because ringworm can spread to different parts of the body and can spread to people. Also, the more involved the infection, the longer it will take to clear. For now, I recommend washing your hands anytime you touch Rexi. Im not sure what this is on our friend tika. But I just noticed it today ../: what do you guys think it is ?!?
Thanks for using Boop by Petco! This could be due to ringworm. This could also be just a focal skin bacterial infection, among other possibilities. I recommend that you have Tika evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. They would be able to check for these possibilities and treat accordingly. Ringworm can be transmitted to humans so just in case this is what is going with Tika, wear gloves when handling this lesion. Good luck and best wishes!

Thanks for the image. That could be an area of trauma or irritation. It may also be some localized infection (bacterial or fungal) or maybe a papillomatous growth (wart). If he is licking or chewing at the area, place an e-collar (cone) on him and schedule an exam with your veterinarian. If the spot is not bothering him and he is behaving normally otherwise, you can choose to monitor it at home for rapid change or growth, bleeding, discharge or discomfort. Should any of these symptoms develop, an exam with your veterinarian would be required to definitively diagnose the underlying cause. Any treatment will depend on the diagnosis.

You will need to take your dog to a veterinarian for a skin exam. Your dog could be suffering from an allergy, mites, fleas, a bacterial or fungal infection. each of these requires a different treatment, so it is important to find out what is causing the itch. This does, however look like a bacterial infection, Your vet will do a thorough exam and maybe a a skin scrape. He will then discuss the options with you and then prescribe medications such as antibiotics and possibly an antibiotic/antifungal shampoo.

This presentation could be due to a trauma or localized spot of skin infection (likely to be caused by bacteria). A check up, appropriate disinfection and possibly antibiotics (oral, topical or in a shampoo formulation) are needed to solve the problem. Disinfection may be started at home with very diluted hibiscrub or betadine or salted water baths.

My personal opinion is that there is nothing to be worried about and it does not look like anything serious considering her age and the picture. Unfortunately I cannot give you more specific answers as differentials are mainly trauma (it may be scar tissue) or possibly an infection, but a check up would be essential to be able to confirm it.
