Can I give my dog a daily boiled egg? Safe for weight/cholesterol?

Do 1 boiled egg given daily increases dogs weight? Is it safe to give 1 boiled egg daily to dog in summers where outside temperature is 40 degree celcius? Also does egg increases cholesterol of dog?

Hello. It is very safe to give a boiled egg daily to Bruno. Eggs are just as good for dogs as they are for people. I doubt that 1 egg will increase his weight significantly & dietary cholesterol is not a significant source of this compound. Most cholesterol is manufactured in the liver so a daily egg will never hurt anyone. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
