Are Advantus Flea Soft Chews right for my large dog's fleas?

HI my name is genesis and I want to know . if can I give a my dog this Advantus Flea Soft Chews for Large Dogs 23-110lbs, 7 count is god or not? Pet's info: Dog | Pomeranian | Male | neutered | 2 years old | 25 lbs

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! The Advantus flea pill is once daily. This medication is best used to help kill what is on the dog. I wouldn't use it to prevent fleas as it is expensive to give once daily long term. Once a month Nexgard and Simparica are less expensive and are only given once a month. Also Bravecto is one tablet every 3 months and is about $50 every 3 months. I would spend your money on one of those products. The flea life cycle is 21 days so you would have to give the Advantus daily for at least 3 weeks. But once you stop there is nothing preventing more fleas to jump back on him. I hope this helps!
