Why is my old Min Pin losing fur on her forehead? Is it normal?

Hello, My dog Tommy (9 year old female min pin) is losing fur on the top of her head on either side of her forehead. Is this normal? A sign of age? Is it a sign of something? Thank you. Pet's info: Dog | Miniature Pinscher | Female | 9 years and 6 months old | 18 lbs

Judging from the pictures, age and breed of Tommy, this is a change commonly seen in this breed and can become more pronounced at an older age. I would monitor for now and if the hair loss progresses to other areas of the body, I would recommend having a veterinarian examine her. Otherwise, the thinning of the hair will likely continue in this area.
