Pet's info: Dog | Siberian Husky | Female | spayed | 7 months and 17 days old | 48.8 lbs
I have a question. I don’t work. So how long (hours) should I train her to stay alone? She doesn’t have separation anxiety but I just never left her longer than three hours. How to teach puppies to be alone. Just wanted to know what a dog should be able to tolerate (like what is the minimum a dog should be able to do to be normal if it isn’t 8 hour work days) idk if you know what I’m getting at sorry if I’m confusing! What should be nessarties or extras to add to the dog run. Thanks again

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Sienna. I would gradually increase the time she is left alone over several weeks. I think a reasonable goal is 5-6 hours if you do not need to leave her for a full work day. This would allow you to be out of the house for a good amount of time knowing that she is comfortable. As far as her dog run, water is a necessity. Anything else left in the run should be tested before you leave her for hours. Some puppies are good with toys, beds or blankets, while others will destroy and eat these items. If she eats one of these items, it would become a surgery to remove it. I hope this information helps!
