Pregnant cat bleeding dark red blood. Is she miscarrying or in labor?

I rescued a cat last night and she is pregnant. I'm not sure how far along she is because she is stray. This morning she became aggressive and tried attacking me for food and she is now bleeding dark red blood droplets from her vaginal region. I'm not sure if she's in labor or miscarrying
