What are these hard lumps on my senior dog's belly and groin?

Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Female | spayed | 12 years and 5 months old | 90 lbs

My gsg 12 years old spayed 3 years ago Found a very hard lump that doesn't seem attached to the skin on her belly at her groin then 2 days later found 2 smaller hard lumpsin a line towards her rear end. Any ideas

It could be that these lumps on Sakota are mammary tumors. Even though she was spayed three years ago, she still has a 25% chance of developing them. Mammary tumors in dogs have a 50% chance of being malignant. It could also be that these lumps are benign, cysts, lipomas, or another type of malignant tumor. Any suspicious lumps should be examined by the vet. The vet can perform a test called a fine needle aspirate on it. To do this, the vet sticks a small needle into the lump to get a sample of it's cells, and examines the cells on a slide under a microscope. It's usually painless to the animal, and relatively quick to perform. It may be that the lumps need to be biopsied in order to reach a diagnosis. I recommend calling your vet today to set up an appointment to have these lumps examined and diagnosed so they can be treated as needed. Best of luck, I hope this helps!
