My dog has an ear infection. What can I do for his pain until the vet?

My poor dog is in pain. He has an ear infection but I'm not sure what kind but it's keeping him up all night. I can't take him to the vet till Thursday when I get paid. What can I do for the next day till I can take him tomorrow? Thank you in advance! Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Male | unneutered | 9 years and 4 months old | 7 lbs

Hi, thanks for using PetCoach! Poor Snickers! Ultimately he will be okay until tomorrow, I am glad he is getting seen in the short term. I wouldn't recommend giving him any human medications because your Vet may prescribe steroids which can not be combined with things like aspirin. You can try some benadryl to see if it relieves the itch and calms him. Otherwise I would hold tight for a day.
