Pet's info: Dog | Jack Russell Terrier | Female | spayed | 2 years and 3 months old | 16 lbs
I’m having an issue with my 2yr old jack russel terrier. She constantly barks and shows jealousy when me and my spouse show affection ( hugging, kissing, touching). She will only stop barking when we stop the interaction. I’ve also noticed that if others get too close to my spouse (example: him sitting down at the desk and someone is leaning over his shoulder looking at the screen) she will bark uncontrollably. It’s like she is being super protective over her owners. Is this behavio correctable?

You need to seek the help of a professional dog trainer or this can turn into a serious issue. She does this because she thinks she is the boss, the alpha, over you. She sees your spouse as a threat. I strongly suggest you get a trainer to come to your home to assess the situation and see her behavior in her own environment. That way they can make the appropriate recommendations. Best wishes.
