My dog died suddenly with vomiting and drooling. Was it poison?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Male | unneutered | 1 year and 4 months old | 50 lbs

I had 3 labs. They were 2 years old. Fat and healthy they stayed on cement blocks in a cyclone fence. They were fine and all of a sudden they died. They wouldn't eat, they did drink water, but threw up and drooled a lot. What could it have been? Now my neighbors dog is doing the same thing. It also is in a fenced in yard. It's 2 years old and is up to date on shots.

This is very suspicious. This sounds like the dogs ingested something poisonous, possibly anti-freeze or other chemicals. I would inform the local police about possible poisoning of all these dogs. Should your neighbor's dog die, it will be advisable to have a post mortem done to verify the cause of death.
