Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | neutered | 12 lbs
Hi I was just wondering if I need to take my cat to the vet or just let it heel on it’s own. His name is Jess, He is 2 1/2 years old, He is an indoor/outdoor cat.

He needs to go to the vet. The area is very inflamed and infected and will need antibiotics to be fixed. You can clean the area with mild soap and water to start. make sure to clean the food and water bowl daily and change to a glass or stainless steel one. This can often be an allergic reaction from rubbing against things such as the bowls.
