My dog keeps swallowing and gulping constantly. Should I be concerned?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 4 years and 2 months old | 12 lbs

My four-year-old Chihuahua Jack Russell Terrier keeps swallowing all the time it almost sounds like gulping and she does this while she's resting to it's been going on for the past two days. She has been going to the bathroom just fine but she does keep eating is clover like France but she doesn't throw up afterwards and she hasn't thrown up should I be concerned

Continual swallowing can be a sign of something irritating their phayrnx, trachea or esophagus- like an object stuck in their throat. If you can get a good look in her mouth, I would check between and around her teeth as well as further back in her mouth. If you can offer her some food this may help too. If it persists, I would recommend having her seen as she may need an x-ray or other tests. I hope this helps!
