What is this dried blood scab on my cat and how do I treat it?

Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Male | unneutered | 1 year and 1 month old | 10 lbs

When I pet my kitty today I felt a tiny bump on his fur when I looked closely I saw hardened dry blood I peeled it off carefully and this is what I see I don’t know what or how he got it but please tell me what is it. I have cleaned it with water and salt.

This looks like a wound from a cat fight or mild injury. You did the right thing removing the scab. If there was infection trapped you have cleaned it up now and the area is open to the air so it should heal quickly. You can clean these type of sores with hydrogen peroxide and if it’s in an area like this that he can’t lick you can apply a thin film of antibacterial ointment on it. This should heal in a few days.
