Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Female | spayed | 3 years and 3 months old | 7 lbs
I adopted a new day over 2 weeks ago. She is shy and hides all day. When we are sleep she comes out to use the litter box, to eat and to explore. Since she is only comfortable with coming out at night when we are aren't around i leave food for her. Should i only leave food out during the day so she learns that the food is being provided by me? My vet came a checked her to make sure her health was fine - and she is healthy. My vet gave me a CBD oil for my cat, but nothing seems to help.

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Vera. I would leave food out at night, but put less out each night and offer more of her daily allotment during the daytime. You can also place treats or canned food where she has been hiding. It may take a few more weeks, but her confidence should build and she will be comfortable enough to come out. I hope this information helps you!
