Can I give my puppy over-the-counter medicine for fever or fatigue?

Unfortunately no, there are no OTC medications that are safe enough to give Prince Tab. In addition, because I can't see him in person, even if there were ones it would be illegal for me to prescribe them to him. If he has a fever that is above 103F, then having him seen by a vet asap would be best. You can try to cool him down by placing him in a room with a fan. Best of luck!

Thank you for submitting your question. I would not recommend giving paracetamol. While it can be given in some instances, it has a narrow margin of safety. Your dog appears to be a puppy from your pictures and would not be a good candidate for it. I would recommend he sees his veterinarian. It is best to diagnose the problem so he can receive proper treatment if necessary. In the meantime, encourage him to eat and drink as much as possible. Puppies can easily become dehydrated. My little chichiua is running a fever and she is 16 what can I give her
Unfortunately, there is nothing OTC that can safely be given to Pudpud. Ideally, she should be physically examined by your veterinarian to diagnose the underlying cause of the fever, especially since she is an older pet.

Hi, I have a four month old puppy and she’s lost majority of her bottom baby tooth and from what I can tell she’s hot meaning I think she has a fever. What can I do to stop that fever? And also to help with her pain?
Unfortunately there are no OTC medications you can give Mia for pain and fever. Many human ones are toxic to dogs, and can be fatal if given. You can put a cold compress on her head to see if that helps the fever. You will need to have her seen by a vet for these problems.

I just got my puppy and he was around a few people that had a cold and now i think hes got one I noticed last night he was taking alot of little breaths and it seemed like his heart was racing and his nose is a little stuffy and running a little bit
Do not give him any over the counter human pain relievers as they can be toxic to dogs. He should be examined by a vet to treat any problems that he is having. He may need an antibiotic and anti-inflammatory and your vet can prescribe the right medications to treat his problems.

My pug puppy got vaccinated today . The vaccination was corona booster dose. Now he has a fever and he is sleeping since 12 hours now should I give him medicine for fever?
I would not recommend any over the counter medication to reduce a fever. Usually a fever secondary to vaccines resolves within 24 hours and does not require treatment. If the fever continues or you notice vomiting, diarrhea or swelling around Murphy's face and eyes I would recommend seeing a veterinarian.

Can i give Paracetamol to Candy? She is having high fever.

I would consult with your veterinarian for recommendations on what to use. You can get a prescription medication from your veterinarian that is much safer. I think it very likely that they will also get it, but if you can, keep them away from anywhere the other puppies have vomited or had diarrhea. Clean those areas that have been exposed with 9 parts water, 1 part bleach. As for the other part, fever is not a common sign of parvo. Vomiting and then diarrhea is most common. There are no human medications that are safe for dogs and nothing over the counter helps with parvo anyway. So long story short, no. Do not give them anything and if any of them stop eating, start vomiting, or have diarrhea, call ahead to the vet and get them in right away. Best wishes to you and the pups!

My 45 day gsd puppy has fever from last 12 hours. Im giving him paracetamol and antibiotics prescribed by a vet. But he still has fever. In how many time fever will go? Is it a serious matter?
Discontinue giving the paracetamol immediately. Paracetamol (acetaminophen) can be toxic to dogs if given in large amounts. Please have him rechecked by your veterinarian. Tell the doctor exactly how much paracetamol your dog has been given.

You don't need to give him any medications at the moment. human meds to reduce fever are not suitable for dogs and medications to reduce fever are rarely given in case of mild fever. if your dog does not seem to get better within 48 hours you should take him to the vet in order to get it checked and treated.

I have Pug. And i guess he is suffring from fever and cold. Can i give him Dolo tablet (Paracetamol) tablet , or O2 tablet ?
Paracetamol can be toxic to dogs and should never be given. O2 is a combination medication and i would not recommend using it without knowing what Pogo is suffering from, you should take him to the vet to get diagnosed properly as giving medications randomly is likely to cause more harm than good.
