My dog has kidney disease. What flea & tick medicine is safe?

My dog has kidney disease and is 4 years old. She is being treated and is on a renal diet. She currently is taking Nexgaurd flea and tick medicine. I am looking for the best type of flea and tick medicine to give a dog with kidney disease. Would a topical medicine be better? Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Female | spayed | 70 lbs

None of the flea and tick medicines are excreted by the kidneys, so the kidneys should not be negatively influenced by the tick and flea medicines. Nexgard is a very good flea and tick medicine and I suggest you stick with it.
