My dog is limping and shivering. Does he need a vet or just rest?

My dog has a limp. I think he broke his left paw. He limps while walking but he can lay fine. He has this for 2 days now. He’s not whining but he is shivering a little bit and his tail is down. Can this be cured by rest and time or should I help massage his paw?

He needs to be examined by a vet to determine the extent of the injury. Your vet can take an x-ray to help diagnose and then determine the best way to treat. He may need a splint, rest, and an anti-inflammatory to treat. It is impossible to know the best way to treat without an x-ray.
