Hi, my cat just swallowed a pistachio shell, will he be ok? What should I do?

Hi. Poor Joey. Good news is they aren't toxic to him. The only concern would be if for some reason the shell gets stuck in the intestines and causes a block. Hopefully he chewed it well. Lol. A blockage is rare, but possible. Monitor closely for vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, anorexia, or decreased defecation. You would then want to see your veterinarian if you notice any of those right away. Good luck.
