My dog has a bump for months, not growing. Should I be concerned?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | spayed | 7 months and 14 days old | 30 lbs

My dog has a bump that has been there for a few months. It does not seem to bother her and does not seem to be getting any bigger. I am just wondering if I should be concerned?

If this little mass is not growing, changing shape or bothering your dog, then I would not worry about it. Should it start to grow, change shape or should she start to gnaw on it, have it checked out by your vet.
