My kitten keeps choking and throwing up. Should I take him to the vet?

Hi I have a kitten he is 17 weeks old and he keep choking and then throwing up it’s been happening to around 15 minutes now I’m concerned weather it’s just a hair ball that’s making him choke or if I’m needing to take him to the vets. Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | 5 months and 24 days old
