Why is my cockatiel's wing bleeding after a feather trim?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Bird | Cockatiel | Male

I went to some other place and kept my cockatiel to the pet store. He was having his primary wing but when we came back and saw him, his wings were full of blood and his primary wings were not there. We asked to pet owner he said he doesn't know anything about this. Please let me know if he hurt himself by own or anything else happened.

Thanks for reaching out about Ozzie and including photos. Those primary feathers appear to have been trimmed, with the possible cutting of a blood feather. If not actively bleeding, a veterinary visit is not needed. Good luck.
