My new kitten is lethargic and not eating after neuter, is he okay?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | American Longhair | Male | 3 lbs

I just adopted my male kitten 4 days ago. He is 3 months old. I am a little concerned about him. He seems to be very lethargic. He recently was neutered on October 2nd so I’m not sure if he is still recovering from that or not. He is eating a drinking. But eating only a little at a time but he drinks water a lot. He is not playful and all he wants to do is sleep. Do you have any advice?

Noodle might be sick. By this point, he should be completely recovered from the neuter. I recommend to ave him examined today if possible. He could have a fever, infection or a reaction to the anesthesia. Best to play it safe. I hope this helps and please feel free to post any additional questions.
