Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Longhair | Female | spayed | 5 months old
Hello! I recently adopted a cat four days ago, and she has been hiding inside/under our couch for the past three days. Would it be okay to remove her from the couch and place her in the bathroom, so she can still get her alone time but we can actually pet/care for her? Would leaving her in the mostly unreachable couch area be bad, or would moving her be worse? Thank you very much!

It sounds like Bonny is probably still very scared and so hiding is helping her stay safe while she adjusts to her new home. If you don't have any other pets or people that would bother her under the couch, it should be fine to leave her there. I would move her litter, bedding, food and water closer to the couch temporarily so she can get to them without having to go across the house if she is very scared, and you can gradually move it back to its regular spot once she is more comfortable. If you have small children or other pets that may bother her, moving her to the bathroom until she settles in is a good idea so she can have her own spot to herself safely.
