I have a 6 year old dachshund. Her stomach seems to be bloated and she is in pain, she ate so steak on Saturday and she started showing the signs of bloating on Sunday. Pet's info: Dog | Dachshund miniature | Female | unspayed | 6 years and 7 months old | 11 lbs

I am very sorry to hear about Katiana. I would recommend getting her to the vet right away with these symptoms. Many different things can cause the belly to appear bloated, including a torsion/twisting of the stomach which is painful and life threatening. We can also have bloating due to fluid buildup in the belly, a blockage of the intestinal tract, and more. In some cases eating something new and rich in flavor can cause pancreatitis which can cause a very painful belly. All of these things require treatment by a veterinarian. The vet will examine Katiana and may recommend testing like an x-ray to help determine what the cause of her symptoms is and how to treat her.
