Why is my new puppy swaying, vomiting, and lethargic with diarrhea?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Australian Terrier | Female | unspayed | 1 month and 27 days old | 3 lbs

Terrier min pin mix d.o.b 08/11/19 just brought her home 2 days ago yesterday head began swaying in circles only while sitting, diarrhea, not eating as much, vomited once, could be severe lethargy or just sleeping alot as puppies do previous owners said she played all the time she did not sleep anywhere near as much as here, at times very playful just worried why her head is swaying but no coordination issues while running or playing and why she was vomiting, and lethargic

Hi, and thanks for your question. These signs could be compatible with an inflammation infection of the gastrointestinal system and surrounding organs (like pancreas and liver). A clinical examination at your local veterinarian is immediately essential to confirm these clinical suspicions and treat appropriately. Antibiotics and possibly further investigations (like abdominal imaging as ultrasound or radiographs) may be needed.
