Updated On September 23rd, 2025

I have a 15 1/2 yr old and lately usually the evening he paces around the house. At times I get up with him in the night he can’t sleep. After awhile he will lay down and sleep.

I'd have Gomez seen by a vet for this problem. It could be he is suffering from canine cognitive dysfunction, which can cause dogs to not sleep at night. If he does have it, the vet can diagnose it and can discuss things to do to help with it.
