My hedgehog has blood in pee. Can I treat it at home without a vet?

Hi my hedgehog has blood in her pee. I was wondering if there was something I could do at home to fix it? I have taken some rescues in unexpectedly and don’t have the extra money to go to the vet. She is blind in her right eye which I wasn’t but told when I got her. I have only had her for about 3 weeks and just noticed it 20 min ago.

Thanks for reaching out about Prickles. Hematuria or blood in the urine can have multiple causes, but bladder stones, urinary bladder infections, reproductive (uterine) cancer and severe kidney disease are all possible causes. Unfortunately, none of these can be treated at home and a veterinary visit is recommended as soon as possible. Monitor appetite and water intake. Good luck.
