My senior dog with a tumor is losing weight. Should I put her down?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Yorkipoo | Female | unspayed | 10 lbs

My dog is currently older and had been having a hard time lately. She has a large tumor on her chest area, about the size of a softball. I couldnt afford the surgery to remove it. I have been making her as comfortable as possible. I was hoping that I could let her pass without being put down. I was thinking about putting her down when I know the time is close but I dont know If I should. She has been losing a lot of weight lately. Does that mean her time is close? Should I have her put to sleep?
