My Holland Lop rabbit has dandruff and watery eyes. What's wrong?

Hello. My 6-year-old Holland Lop rabbit has been having some dandruff along his back and sides. He is a tort and is also having some watery eyes. I have researched quite a bit and have found that ivermectin might possibly help but it is very easy to overdose and that is the last thing I want! I have read that black tea bags help with conjuctivtis possibly in rabibits but have not been working as well for me..

Thanks for reaching out about Theodore. This could be a case of fur mites and possibly responsive to ivermectin. We are unable to recommend dosages on this website and a veterinary visit is recommended to assess and provide a diagnostic/treatment plan. Ivermectin does have a narrow safety range. The conjunctivitis could be stress but also dental disease. Still, recommend to see a veterinarian. Good luck.
