We just went to the vet for the check up and the result is that my dog ' s lipase is very high(990) but amylase, bun ,creatinine, sgot sgpt are all ok.The vet said is not pancreatitis since he has no symptoms, he s doing ok,eat and poop as usual, not vomit, not have any pain.He told me to keep feeding him (already on a low fat diet). He has mud in his gallbladder, I really dont know what to do.what might it be in this case?

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Rocky. Lipase values can be elevated in cases of pancreatitis and occasionally liver and kidney disease. However, it is a not a very sensitive marker of this disease. For this reason, if the remainder of his blood work is normal and he is not acting sick, then I do not worry too much about an elevation in lipase. I hope this information helps!
