My bird bites me and doesn't trust me. Is it too late to train her?

Well I'm scared I messed up with my bird. I got her, and then left her alone for a long time. Like 4 months. I fed and watered her, but never gave her much attention. Now out of nowhere I decided to take her out of her cage. I wear winter gloves and she bites like crazy and I feel like she hates it, I dont think she trusts me. I'm afraid the damage is undoable, but I'm willing to do anything. Pet's info: Bird | Parakeet | Female | 0.5 lbs

Consulting with a veterinary behaviorist can be rewarding but also look for the book "A Guide to a Well-Behaved Parrot". Keep all new movements slow and deliberate, environment should be peaceful. Off treats by hand, just start by placing treat NEAR her. Good luck.
