I took it three rescue kittens about three months ago, from my understanding that all three kittens were from different litters, all between 11 and 14 weeks old at the time. One had resp problems we treated all 3, the same kitten still had problems and a second one started , The vet gave us a different anti biotic, although better here and there, after more than 3 mths of meds two of three still have have the same symptoms how could this be?

In kittens, respiratory illnesses can commonly be caused by viruses, which means antibiotics do not help. That could be why you are still seeing symptoms. I can suggest some things to try at home. First, you can try starting her on an L-lysine supplement - this is an amino acid that has been shown to help the immune system fight off respiratory infections more effectively. Enisyl and Viralys are both good brands, and can be purchased over the counter without a prescription - just follow the dosing instructions on the label based on your cat's weight. If she's congested, you can also try using a humidifier or bringing her into the bathroom with the door closed while you take a hot shower - the steam and humidity help to break up congestion and temporarily relieve symptoms associated with respiratory infections.
