Hello, That is likely normal from where Benny lays on his tummy. If it becomes itchy, painful, swollen, oozy, flaky, or bumpy, those would be signs of a skin problem that needs medical treatment. I hope this helps! Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.

If it is, it should begin to resolve in the next day or two. Place an e-collar (cone) on Benny to prevent licking or chewing. Keep the area clean and dry. If it spreads or worsens, develops discharge or is itchy, then have him seen by your veterinarian in the morning.

Hello and thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. The spots look unusual. They don't look like typical allergic reaction, infection or parasite infestation. Maybe Benny was bitten by a bug or a tick ? Please, take Benny to your local vet for full clinical examination. Your vet may recommend blood test to check his platelet count and skin testing to find out what is going on. Benny will likely need an anti-inflammatory medication in cream or ointment for a few days.
