Why does my cat have new patches in his ears? Should I worry?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | neutered | 2 years and 2 months old | 10 lbs

My cat has little patches in his ears and has never happened before and I am concerned. He doesn’t seem to be in any pain or bothered but it at all. His gums are a normal color. He is eating fine.

This appearance to the ears could have many causes, including ringworm, ear mites, fleas, bacterial or yeast infection, among others. I would recommend having Tikah examined by a vet to determine the cause and decide which, if any, treatment is indicated.
