Pet's info: Cat | Korat | Female | spayed | 2 months and 30 days old | 4 lbs
Hello, I have a small kitten that was a stray and I fostered her from about 4 weeks old and ended up adopting her. She’s almost 12 weeks old now and is loving and outgoing withme and the other pets. About a month ago she started licking and kneading my face every night and I can’t get her to stop. It’s very painful because she does it for so long. I don’t want to close her out of the room and I lover her affection. Any ideas on how to stop this behavior? If I move her away she runs right back.

This is a terrible habit due to her not being mothered properly after she was born. Obviously not your fault! Absolutely do not allow her to continue this behavior. I suggest you apply some bitter apple on your face (hopefully you are not sensitive to it) once she tastes that a time or two she should stop. ( ) Also, get some Feliway diffusers for your house - it releases maternal hormones to calm cats. This may help as well. ( https://www.feliway.com/us/Products/FELIWAY-CLASSIC-Diffuser )
