My senior dog with cancer seems constipated. What should I do?

Hello my yellow lab mix was diagnosed with cancer 3 weeks ago he's 15 yr he acts like he's constipated but he still goes #2 ok, vet gave me prednisolone i don't like the side effects he's in good health wht do i do to relieve his constipation. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Male | 14 years and 5 months old | 70 lbs

I hate to hear that about Gus.
