Why are my cats sneezing, congested, with watery eyes and tired?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Mediumhair | Female | unspayed | 2 months and 19 days old | 3 lbs

Hi there! So over the past day or so my male cat and my female kitten both have very watery eyes and seem to be congested as they are sneezing quiet often. I had an older cat that passed away A few days after showing these same symptoms shortly after I adopted my newest kitten. They are both fully aware and eating and drinking but seem more tired than usual, please help!

Hello, Many kittens can suffer from viral respiratory infections that progress to secondary bacterial infections with pneumonia. As they both are experiencing decreased activity, I'd recommend having your kittens both seen by a veterinarian. They can guide you best after a physical exam. I hope this is helpful.
