Hello. Yes, they can, but should they? Hot dogs are loaded with fats, sugars & salt & not very nutritious for us or for our pets. An occasional treat or taste is fine, but I have seen too many dogs get hooked on fatty meats & refuse to eat their regular diet. As a result, we see obesity, pancreatitis, organ damage & skin problems. If you want to treat Piper, or use a small piece as a training aid, that is fine, as long as she eats a good balanced dog food diet daily.
