My puppy ate hand sanitizer and is panting. What should I do now?

Pet's info: Dog | English Bulldog | Male | unneutered | 6 months and 12 days old | 15 lbs

My dog consumed a small amount of hand sanitizer yesterday at 7:00 he is a 6 month old English bulldog puppy who weighs at around 15 pounds and he is panting all of the sudden inside the house with the air conditioner on what can I do?

The possible toxicity would depend on the content and the quantity of the sanitizer ingested. Please give us more specific indications about it to receive a detailed answer. Generally speaking, hand sanitizers, which are typically unpalatable to pets, often contains ethanol (e.g., alcohol). Like other types of alcohol, a large ingestion of hand sanitizer can cause lethargy, vomiting, incoordination, weak respirations, and dangerous drops in blood sugar, blood pressure and body temperature. Severely intoxicated animals can potentially experience seizures and respiratory failure.
